The Sunny Boy 3.0, 3.6, 4.0, or 5.0TL inverter can be connected to the router either via an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi. If no data is coming through, resetting the inverter might help by disconnecting power from both the grid and the panels before turning it back on. Note: If your inverter communicates via Wi-Fi and you've changed your router or Wi-Fi password, follow this link.
Reset Procedure:
-
Turn off the AC (alternating current) side. Do this by switching off the solar power group in your fuse box (recognizable by the Zonnefabriek sticker).
-
Go to the inverter. On the left side, you’ll find a rotary switch. Turn it from ‘1’ to ‘0’.
-
The inverter is now disconnected from both AC and DC power, but residual voltage remains in the capacitors. You’ll notice this from the LED lights. After about 30 seconds, the lights will turn off, indicating that the unit is fully de-energized.
-
Now, restart the inverter by first turning the rotary switch back to ‘1’. If set correctly, a green LED on the inverter will start flashing slowly.
-
Finally, return to the fuse box and switch the ‘Solar Power’ group back on by flipping the switch upwards.
-
After some time, communication with the portal server should resume. Note: The daily, monthly, and yearly yield graphs may take a while to update. Typically, they will be visible again in a few hours on Mijn Zonnefabriek and the Zonnefabriek app.
